It still isn't time for cocktails on the deck but it will be before we know it!  Some of the brickwork  was being done and I must say that the brickwork being laid will certainly do alot to add to the charm of this most beautiful restaurant.

It might not be very appealing right now but it will be.

Lots of progress has been made inside too.  Probably the most noticable was that the walls had all been given a base coat.  - With light through the windows and all white walls I don't think I've ever seen anything so white!  I can't wait to see what colors they choose to paint the walls.

Kitchen area...  We found this guy hard at work by himself and quiet as a mouse.

One of the great things about the new restaurant is that parking is FREE.  It doesn't matter if you come by car or by boat or even jet ski.  There's no charge.

There will also be no charge for the magnificent view!

Mayor McDermott To Be Sworn Into House of Delegates On Jan. 12

POCOMOKE CITY, Md. - The town of Pocomoke will soon be losing its mayor, but not just yet.

Mayor Mike McDermott will be sworn into the House of Delegates for District 38-B on Jan. 12.

City officials say McDermott will remain mayor until then. At that point, Robert Hawkins, the First Vice-President of the City Council, will take on mayoral responsibilities, but not the official title. Hawkins will continue to serve as a councilman.

A new mayor will be elected in the city's scheduled elections in April of 2011.

18th Annual 'Between The Waters' Bike Tour

~~DRIVERS PLEASE USE CAUTION ~~

Citizens For a Better Eastern Shore is sponsoring the 18th annual Between the Waters Bike Tour. This year's start/finish will be out of Onancock from the Historic Onancock School, according to the Event's Manager Phyllis S. Tyndall.

Approximately 750-800 riders will be traveling north up Seaside and will be in the areas of Locustville, Accomac, Modesttown, New Church, Saxis and on Bayside Rd. back into Onancock from approximately 7:30 AM until about 5:00 PM on Saturday.

"We are asking our local residents who travel these areas, to be aware that they will be sharing the road with bicycles this weekend," explained Tyndall.

The bikers will cross US Rte. 13 at Melfa, Onley, at the VDOT intersection, Johnson Rd. Intersection and at New Church during the course of the day.
