TIME MACHINE ... This Sunday's Preview

1923.. "Star" car successfully travels the roads from Pocomoke City to Cape Charles; 1893.. A bank for Onancock?; 1955.. Pocomoke Lions Club to host farmers; 1903.. Somerset tomato growers demand 15-cents a bushel; 1932.. Mob threatens Worcester prosecutor.

Although you may not find these items in a history book, they are a part of our local history and you can read more about it this Sunday right here at The Pocomoke Public Eye!

Do you have a local memory to share with PPE readers.. such as a big snow storm, a favorite school teacher, a local happening, something of interest your parents or grandparents told you about? It can be just a line or two, or more if you wish. Send to tkforppe@yahoo.com and watch for it on a future TIME MACHINE posting!

"1932 Mob threatens Worcester prosecutor"
Curious to read on Sunday if this has anything to do with the Davis family murders (Dec 1931) and the accused and eventually convicted and executed Orphan Jones.

Thanks for commenting.

I've seen mention of the Orphan Jones case, however, this Sunday's article is about kidnapping charges filed against the Ocean City police chief and another prominent citizen. -tk
