Sadly this story doesn't have a happy ending, which those who don't even know Mr. Thornton had hoped for. That said with sincerest sympathy.

My father was a sweet, caring, funny man. He had a way about him that would light up my day...I truly miss him and I hope that he has found peace with God and that he knows he has been forgiven. There is nothing that can come between a daughter and her undying love for her daddy. I hope that he knew that...

Brandy thank you for sharing at a sad time like this. I know myself of the undying love a daughter has for her father. No matter how or when they leave us it is always too soon.

It is a terrible ending to a story that I so wanted to have a happy ending. I know that my husband (his son John) will miss him greatly. He stayed up the other night telling me stories about his dad and how many great times they had together. I know that he loved him very much. I am sad that me and his grandson will never get to meet him. But, I know his memory will live on forever in the stories that John tells JB. He is in a better place now, may he rest in peace.

Kylee that is such a wonderful thing to say. I am so sorry for the sadness your family must endure right now. Sometimes in our lives things do seem to be unfair. But please know that you have so many people keeping you and your brother and other family members in their prayers.

It is difficult for a small community like this to understand also.
